Cost Controler Finance Department

Department: Finance
Reporting to:
Position Purpose: Analysis of disbursements and compile owner’s accounts and invoices.

Key Result Areas

1. Disbursements

* Check and correct, if required, 48hr telex from agents;

* Analyse disbursements and update analysis database;

* Check disbursements from International Agents;

* Arrange for supplementary accounts if errors are found in the disbursement;

* Cross check costs and figures against manifests and tariffs;

* Check analysis sheets;

* Maintain stevedore tariffs and port tariffs.

2. Invoices

* Compile owners accounts and survey reports for invoicing, quality check for correctness;

* Review rejected owner’s accounts.

3. Reports

* Produce cost, statistical & KI reports as required;

4. Company Policies

* Abide by all company policies and procedures in place within the work place, particularly those relating to timekeeping and conduct;

* Report any incidents of non-conformance you witness or become aware of that is a risk to health and safety or that compromises a person’s wellbeing.

Experience/Qualifications Required

Essential:

* Knowledge of accounting;

* Experience in Shipping;

Desirable: Preferred Degree in Accountancy, Diploma holders can be considered.

Position 1

As a member of the regional finance team, you will monitor and analyse the performance of various regional business units. You will track business units KPIs, monitor the health of IT projects, co-ordinate business unit reviews and forecasting exercises and be involved in the preparation and analysis of the annual budget.

Requirements

Degree holder at least 5years of relevant working experiences

Highly familiar in Microsoft Office Applications i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, Access

Hands on experience with SAP is preferred

Highly familiar in Budget Forecasting and Month End closing activities

Position 2:

Perform a key support role as an Operations Finance to the Business Unit

Maintains Finance

General Ledger module and reports

Involved in implementation for new ERP system

Prepare for company level financial and management reports, profitability analysis, EVA and cash flow report

Responsible for day-to-day accounting, monthly and quarterly costing, budgeting and forecasting

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or equivalent

At least 5 years of working experience

Knowledge in SAP and Frango consolidation will be added advantage

Proficient in MS Office

Able to prepare a good analysis of financial and management reports

Able to perform independently and team player
